About
Fiona’s recent works incorporate symbolism to tell narratives of healing and growth. These still lifes often represent themes of the self and botanical growth as the byproduct of healing and were influenced by Fiona’s love of 17th century Dutch still life, vanitas symbolism and the Romanticism period. Atmospheric landscapes and patinaed settings often surround the still lifes representing our lived environments. She enjoys exploring the curious quality of light, bringing optimism and calling us to savour the fleeting present moment.
Fiona’s paintings hope to offer support in the daily lives of her collectors to rest and reflect in the quiet mindful moment.
