Fiona Allison

Fiona is a Brisbane based full-time still life oil painter. With her quiet still life paintings, Fiona hopes to nourish and support the daily lives of her collectors …  to call them to rest their eyes, pause, relax and bathe in the quiet present moment.

She is fascinated by the everyday objects that we choose to surround ourselves within our homes which are often carefully collected and curated throughout our life travels. Her works often tell quiet stories about the objects  and the interrelationships within her still-life scenes. Fiona  loves to explore the curious quality of light as a symbol of the fleeting still moment.

She often selects vintage objects from her home and enjoys combining  classical themes and the historical context of objects. She paints in her purpose built art studio set within her flowering garden.
